Explorer Microlight Camp 2025 🪂
4th April 2025 @ 4:00 pm - 6th April 2025 @ 6:00 pm
Kent Scouts own and operate a microlight aircraft and we are offering all Explorers an opportunity for an exciting and exhilarating experience that sends them blasting down the runway… before the pilot eases forward on his control bar to take them skybound for an unforgettable flight over the Kent countryside.
Microlighting is one of the purest forms of aviation, guaranteed to bombard the senses and give an amazing introduction to the joys of flight.
Upon arrival at the airfield, group members will receive a safety brief and introduction to the microlight aircraft.
In turn, each participant will don flying suit and helmet and jump aboard into the passenger seat… before embarking flight, climbing several thousand feet above the fields below.
While on the ground, the young people will be encouraged to assist with ground support activities. There will also be the the opportunity to look around the hangar to see the variety of private aircraft stored within.
The cost includes all your indoor accommodation, food, transport and of course an unforgettable experience aboard the Microlight. The cost of the event will be made in three instalments to make this easier for families. There is a limited number of places, and so places will be allocated on a first come served basis. We expect places to go quickly so please don’t wait around to book on.
Microlighting is weather dependable & it is very hard to predict until the day before as condition’s can change. If the worst was to happen we would look at an alternative arrangement.
